This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes The Star Act Alliance’s use of information regarding the general visitors to The Star Act Alliance’s website, (“Website”).

The Star Act Alliance is a coalition of veteran service organizations, partners, and advocates united to end the unfair policy reducing retirement pay for 50,000+ combat-injured veterans. The Star Act Alliance is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and it is The Star Act Alliance’s goal that you fully understand the type of information being collected from you when accessing the Website.

Although The Star Act Alliance includes multiple different veteran service organizations, partners, and advocates, this Website is managed by Wounded Warrior Project, Inc., a Virginia non-profit corporation with its principal place of business in Jacksonville, Florida.

Please read this Policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms and conditions in this Policy, do not use or access the Website. By accessing or otherwise using the Website, you acknowledge that you have read and agree with the terms of this Policy. The Star Act Alliance reserves the right to make edits to this Policy at any point in time without notice. Please check this page from time to time to view the most current policy. What type of information does The Star Act Alliance collect?

The Star Act Alliance does not collect personal information from you. However, when you access the Website, The Star Act Alliance may automatically collect your non-personal information as mentioned below:

  • Usage Details. When you access and use the Website, The Star Act Alliance may automatically collect certain details of your access to and use of the Website, including traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the Website.

Please note, as Website manager, Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. will have access to view the usage details as stated above. However, such usage details are anonymized and therefore unable to be linked back to you.

The Website contains links to third-party, external websites. This Policy applies only to The Star Act Alliance’s Website. When you leave the Website to visit one of these linked sites, the only information transferred to the third party is the fact that you came from The Star Act Alliance. How does The Star Act Alliance use the information it collects?

All information collected by The Star Act Alliance and received by Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. during their management of this Website is anonymized, meaning all personally identifying information has been removed prior to being received by The Star Act Alliance and/or Wounded Warrior Project, Inc.
This anonymized data will be used by The Star Act Alliance and/or Wounded Warrior Project, Inc. to track how many individuals access the Website and what resources on the Website are accessed.

Does The Star Act Alliance track my online activity while I’m not on the Website?
